Rumi's Birthday: September 30th, 1207

We celebrate Rumi’s birthday today! We are excited to share with you the new publication of research on Rumi, Dancing before God’s Beauty. This rare collection of research features insights from scholars worldwide, including REC’s very own Dr. Fariba Enteshari. This book explores new dimensions of Rumi, his life, teachings, and the effects of his teachings.

Dr. Fariba Enteshari’s contribution titled “Chalice of Love: How Rumi’s Language of Love Affects His Readers Today” explores how Rumi’s wisdom affects the everyday lives of people. This reflects Dr. Enteshari’s lifelong work and the Rumi Educational Center’s mission.

In August, Dr. Fariba Enteshari traveled to Utrecht to meet with her long-time colleague and friend, Dr. Sergei van Middendrop (right), and Dancing Before God’s Beauty’s editor Prof. dr. Asghar Seyed-Gohrab (left). This was an exciting celebration after many months spent writing and working together on the publication.

Dancing Before God’s Beauty is available for access and purchase via the publishing house, De Gruyter. It is also available to order via Amazon.
