/Rumi has the ability to reach people of all backgrounds, ages, religions, and more. His wisdom sparks us to look within and influences us to view ourselves and the world in a different way. In this section of our Monthly Newsletter we ask people to show us how Rumi has affected them and their way of thinking.
“I remember my first encounter with Rumi’s poetry clearly, not because the setting, in line at a small coffee shop, was memorable, but because of the great wave of peace that came over me as I finished reading. Rumi’s poetry carries a message that is both beautiful and timeless, it encapsulates the truest love, bringing athat massive wave of peace over those who read it. I chose an REC internship because it allows me to help share Rumi’s wisdom and love with the community, and form a deeper relationship with it myself. His poetry helps remind me of the beauty in the world and the beauty within my soul.”
